Special Shoots at Peaceable Hill Preserve

The wingshooting world is steeped in history and tradition. Arguably the most prominent of these traditions is the age-old sport of driven bird shooting as practiced in Europe and the United Kingdom for many generations. A practice that was used by the estate owner for conservation and sustenance, while at the same time creating a social venue that gathered like-minded friends who enjoyed the sport and celebrated the time of year for harvest.

The unique topography of Peaceable Hill Preserve lends itself to producing high-quality driven style and continental shoots. Pheasants come by at full speed as they fly 30 to 60 yards high over the line of guns, challenging even the most experienced shotgunner. During the shoot, you can expect good-natured banter from the line of guns as well as praise, and of course, admiration for the handlers and their world-class dogs as they pick up your successful shots. After the shoot, the guns are sleeved and everyone loads up on the wagon for a short ride back to the cabin for lunch, beverages, and sharing of traditional pheasant recipes.
