Shooting Instruction at Peaceable Hill
For over three decades, Lars Jacob has taught the fine art of wingshooting. His unique approach to “instinctive shooting” makes shooting relaxing, comfortable, and instills confidence, whether wing or clay. Having worked with thousands of individuals, Lars knows we do not come out of a textbook. Instead of dismissing one’s bias toward certain methods, Lars works with the shooter’s bias and teaches them how to accentuate the good habits and change the bad ones.
The Peaceable Hill Preserve instructional field is equipped with four wobble traps, a high tower, and several fixed traps throwing for countless presentations. An elevated shooting platform with benches and gun racks creates a comfortable learning area and lends to the already stunning views. A pattern plate and gun-fitting area are also available for when it is time to take wingshooting to the next level.

WINGSHOOTING INSTRUCTION
Learn to properly handle and shoot a shotgun in a safe and controlled setting. These programs are designd to help a shooter gain confidence as they enter the world of wingshooting. 60- and 90-minute sessions are available for individuals and small groups.

IN-FIELD LIVE BIRD INSTRUCTION
This full-day, hands-on course in bird hunting begins with breakfast and an introduction to the handler, the shotgun, and field hunting terminology. Next is live fire shooting introduction to instill safe gun handling habits and to establish proper methodology and field etiquette. After lunch is the live field hunt with Lars and handler. During your hunt you will experience the thrill of working behind both pointing and flushing dogs.

GUN FITTING SERVICES
A proper gun fit (rather than fitting yourself to a gun) is paramount to efficient and effective shooting, whether in the field or on the clays course. Through the use of a try-gun, laser shot equipment, and live firing, you will find your perfect fit to optimize your shooting performance. Virtual sessions are also available.
